Chapter 4

After Zhou Tian joined the team, the three of them waited for around half a minute before the last two team members finally arrived.

Luckily, the last two players were accounts that were commonly seen in the Korean server’s high-end bureau. At least, Zhou Tian had played in the same game as them more than once.

“These must be the Top and Support players from the SF team? I remember that their account IDs were CPS in the Korean server.” She murmured to herself as a habit and then picked up her phone to confirm.

TL Note: Top is a role you can play in LoL and so is Support. CPS = couple (I think). And btw, she’s confirming whether what she thought was true by using her phone, (probably searching it up).

“Transferred.” Xie Yi, who had his headphones on, spoke again.

“Oh yeah, I forgot!” After being reminded, she also responded with, “They were transferred to the SAg’s team a few days ago.”

Now, there was a professional AD, a professional Top player, a professional Support player, and two Junglers.

TL Note: Basically everyone in their team, atm.

Hence, Ye Bo firmly decided to substitute and went on to play as Mid. But even like this, their team still played like an actual professional team.

But in the Korean server’s high-ended bureau, there was a limited number of players that could play. As a result, in the other team, there were probably people that recognized her. As soon as they entered the server, they would’ve guessed that it was probably her.

…And so, they chose Kindred.

TL Note: Kindred is a type of hero, I believe, that you can choose in LoL.

Usually, every single time Zhou Tian played, she would be streaming. A habit of hers had always been to say a few things that would make the atmosphere better. And so, when she saw that the other side chose Kindred, she spoke without thinking much: “Is this person a literal idiot? This version of Kindred isn’t easy to use. And he or she is trying to choose our major hero instead of using the best hero in this version?!”

TL Note: Major hero = the person is using, let’s say, Zhou Tian’s most used hero instead of using the best hero in this version.

At the same time, in the chatting section, Ye Bo had also typed out his suggestion to ban pick.

TL Note: Ban pick means that nobody gets to pick their hero. Instead, people have to discuss before they choose a hero.

As everyone was used to playing in a round filled with professionals, the communication through the chatting was quick and efficient. Thus, in just a moment, everyone was able to get what they wanted.

Especially Zhou Tian. She was able to directly get the best hero in this version, which had a BP rate of 100, and didn’t get chosen – Dark Sword Demon Atox.

TL Note: If a hero has a BP rate of 100, it means that that hero gets chosen or banned every single time. (Credits to one of our readers, redsinker, for helping us with this.)

Like other games, “League of Legends” was also a game that updated its heroes in every single new version. Dark Sword Demon Atox was the best hero in the entire version and was extremely powerful. It could carry all three positions: Top, Mid, and Jungler. So, to put it simply, if someone as one of those three positions knew how to properly play, then with this hero, they would basically be invincible.

Zhou Tian rarely used this hero, but it didn’t mean that she didn’t know how to use that hero.

Ye Bo, who didn’t realize that Zhou Tian was on the same team as him, was speaking to his fans: “It’s been a long time since I’ve played rank, and when I logged on, there was just an entire celebrity team with me. Awesome, this round, all I need to do is to follow my teammates around and have team team-carry me.”

“What? I’m sucky at Mid position?! Stop bad-mouthing at me. I’m not sucky at Mid!”

TL Note: He was probably responding to someone, (one of his fans, most likely), that told him that he was bad at playing Mid.

The result was, after a minute in the game, because he [Ye Bo] was now old and sucky at controlling, Ye Bo was killed on the mid path by an opponent.

After receiving his death signal, Zhou Tian was startled for a moment, but then swiftly went over and took the head left in a blood puddle on the other side.

If you say that, in this round, Zhou Tian was assisting the Mid because she was trying to save the opening situation, then every time after this, when Ye Bo was faced was faced by an opponent on the mid path, Zhou Tian’s Sword Demon could and would always appear at the right time and help fight back. This was a bit like the “Mid Road Father.”

TL Note: Opening situation = when the game just starts. Btw, according to Sydney, “mid road father” is basically someone that’s very powerful that protects/fights for you.

After exactly ten minutes, the Mid player on the other team that was being mainly opposed by the best hero in this version, was on his fourth death.

Taking advantage of the short resurrection time, Zhou Tian and Ye Bo cut through the lower path together, and by the way, also killed the annoying twin-skinned milk and jeweled instrument women.

TL Note: Twin-skinned milk and jeweled instrument women are like the enemy/monsters.

“Oh shit, I hate twin-skinned milk so much, they’re so annoying. Whenever you try to kill them, you just can’t. If I want to win this round, I’ll have to do it quickly.” She started to ramble on and on again.

“Then you should probably catch it when you’re on level three.” Xie Yi responded again.

TL Note: Each hero has an in-game level in LoL, so he’s (I think) telling her to “catch it” when she’s more powerful (?)

Zhou Tian: “…” He’s just upset that I didn’t come down earlier to help him.

It was after the round, during the time where they earned a lot and it was time for them to buy better item, when she hesitated before she explained: “I saw that you guys had an advantage on the lower path and were doing a great job, so I didn’t come. But, if I didn’t go to the Mid path, then the Mid path would’ve definitely been destroyed.”

Xie Yi: “Mm.”

Zhou Tian: “??” What does he mean by “Mm?”

“Come to the Dragon Pit.” Xie Yi had already switched onto the next topic.

“Coming! Coming!” In fact, while she was going home and fighting dragons, she’d already known and found out that the Jungler on the other side was coming over.

TL Note: Not literally home. Probably the “home” for her team in the game. Maybe like, the place where they respawn and all?

About the dragon, when she just entered the Korean server, Zhou Tian hadn’t really been good at controlling the wild monsters, and her team’s dragons were always taken to the other side, even after she tried to control them after such a long time.

After happening a few times, she realized that when she was in the normal servers, she never played seriously. As a result, she didn’t even remember the cD for the attack moves on the other side. And so, that was probably why she was always at a disadvantage.

TL Note: cD = cool down. She’s talking about the cool down of the opposing team’s attack moves, because she now knows the cD of their attack moves, she would be able to attack while their moves were cooling down (?)

After noticing this, she reflected for quite a long time and then eventually completely got rid of her bad habit.

So after that, as she live-streamed, whenever the audience entered her live-stream room, they would always be able to see and hear her using ridiculously fast hand speed while noting down every single cD move of her and her opponents’ side.

This round wasn’t an exception. She knew that the Top and the Mid players on the opposing side weren’t exchanging cD well, and so therefore couldn’t be there to help their Jungler. Furthermore, the Jungler on the opposing side wasn’t very fast at attacking the dragon, so she wasn’t in a hurry. She waited until the last second and then took the dragon, whilst also killing the opposing Jungler.

“Oh look, the next one is an Earth dragon. Earth dragons are good. I like Earth dragons.”

If she had been live-streaming at this moment, then just like Ye Bo, there would probably be countless fans spamming in the comments section.

【Oh, incoming! 】

【Yuzhou Mei really is good! 】

【 Demolition enthusiasts … 】

They would say that, because in the four dragons of elements, (Air, water, earth, and fire) the Earth dragon would increase the attack damage on wild monsters and defending towers.

And it was commonly known that this was the classic “attack-the-opponents-towers” method.

Under the worst conditions, each side’s development would be about the same, so the team were very equal. Therefore, the only way to win wasn’t to fight each other, but to attack the towers. Which would result in that the team that got the Earth dragon first would most likely finish attacking the towers first, allowing them to win.

Therefore, right at this moment, Zhou Tian had been happily taking down the Earth dragon. With that, the difference between both sides slowly, but continuously, began to enlarge.

The other side probably realized that if this continued, then the entire game would’ve surely been controlled by her. So instead, they decided to attack the Top path.

“God, four players against one? Our Top path is probably going to be destroyed in moments. Not going.” She really knew how to analyze the situation, “I’ll help you attack the towers on the Lower path.”

“Mm.” Xie Yi replied simply. Even now, she still couldn’t figure out what he exactly was feeling.

But in game, it was completely the opposite to the not-so-peaceful atmosphere of reality. The two of them were actually perfect partners in game.

After approximately seventeen minutes, the players from both sides eventually gathered up and were ready to team fight. Zhou Tian calculated the amount of blood she had left and became the first one to run up. After many extreme attacks she, finally, almost defeated three of the players on the other side: Support, Mid, and Jungler. Xie Yi followed her and together, the partners instantly killed their opponents.

As the scene was dying, right at the same time, the other side lost its power and will to fight back. At last, this round ended faster than Zhou Tian expected it to be.

Zhou Tian’s controlling speed finally got used to the new environment. She considered playing a few more rounds so that she could play her best at tomorrow’s simulation competition.

But at this moment, the door of the training room was pushed open from outside.

It was Lin Lin.

Lin Lin came to find her. He said that they were ready to take her photo.

So Zhou Tian had to rise from her chair and go outside with him.

“You’ll also have to sign the new live-stream contract along with this photo.” Lin Lin concisely explained to her while leading her towards YYg’s photographing area. “Usually, when you join the team, you’d have to use another account to live-stream. But your situation is a bit special. So, if you don’t mind, just add the team’s prefix to your account the next time you live-stream.”

Zhou Tian thought about it for a moment and then replied with that it wasn’t a problem.

“And tonight, we’re also planning to release the news of you joining the team.” Lin Lin told her, “Get ready for it.”

“…For what?” She was a bit confused.

“There’s never been a female player in the history of LpL. Since we let you join, the officials will really pay a lot of attention to this event. Apparently, they think that it’d be a pretty good marketing point for the Summer Competition.” Lin Lin paused, then talked slower, “We’re going to briefly interview you after the photo shoot and hand it over to the officials.”

TL Note: Not like literal officials. You know how like, the game creators and shit, post stuff on the game’s official website, (updates, events, etc.) It’s kinda like that. This is the word: 官方

Zhou Tian: “…”

With all honesty, because she was still a bit nervous, she didn’t immediately answer with “yes.” Instead, she uneasily questioned: “What are the interview questions?” “You don’t have to be afraid of it. The questions that we’ve thought of are pretty moderate.” Lin Lin comforted her, “Also, adapt to it quickly, so that later you won’t be nervous during the interview on stage after the competition.”

With what Lin Lin said this time, Zhou Tian finally relaxed a bit.

Afterwards, with the help of some staff members from the team, she put on some makeup, changed into YYg’s uniform, quickly finished the photo shoot, and entered the interview area.

Coincidentally, the one who was going to interview her was the same person as the one who brought her into her bedroom last time.

She was very nice and comforted Zhou Tian a lot, who was enduring everything like this, for the first time.

“Okay then, anyway, there are three more questions. Yuzhou was an extremely famous player even before entering the professional circle. Everyone called that person the number one Kindred player in the Korean server. What do you, as the person that everyone’s talking about, think of this nickname?”

Zhou Tian scratched her head lightly: “Can I answer honestly?”

The interview said, “Of course! We want you to answer honestly.”

And so, with all honesty, she spoke: “I actually don’t really like this nickname, because it makes it sound as if I only know how to use Kindred. Instead, I think that I’m pretty good what any hero that I use.”

After hearing her say this, all of the employees there were a bit stunned.

Lin Lin was the only one who smiled. He thought that if this rookie was confident, then it’d be good.

“Next question. After coming to YYg’s team and meeting your teammates, did you ever think that they might’ve been different from what you thought of them before?”

Although this question was completely unrelated to gaming, this was still one of the fans’ most favored questions.

Zhou Tian thought seriously for a moment, and then spoke: “Mostly, no. But Further…He was a bit different.”

“How was he different?”

“It’s just that… I never that he would also curse at and scold others so crudely.” She admitted.

“Woah, then last question. In the upcoming Summer Competition, which Jungler would you like to fight against the most?”

Zhou Tian didn’t even have to think through her brain to answer this question. She answered without any hesitation: “Delphi. I’m his fan. He was also the reason why I started to play League of Legends in the first place.”

TL Note: Delphi = Ye Bo

She replied truthfully and directly from her heart. But she didn’t know that at this moment, Ye Bo, who’d just won a round while playing Mid, was also talking about her in the live-stream room.

Ye Bo said: “Did you see it? Did you just see that? Like seriously, it was such a smart choice when I chose to be substitute. This Yuzhou Mei, this sword demon, to have him on my team is so awesome!”

Xie Yi, who hadn’t muted his microphone again: “She helped play Mid, so of course you feel awesome.”

“What, you jealous?” Ye Bo’s tone was filled with satisfaction. After boasting, he finally reacted, “Wait a second! Why’d you turn your microphone on again?”

“Not jealous.” Xie Yi answered the first question and simply ignored the second and last question.

Currently, in the live-stream, a fan wrote: 【Daddy Xie: Already so jealous that he opened his microphone. But he just doesn’t want to admit it at all 】, written with a lot of “hahahaha”s.

At dusk, when the YYg team announced that they had “Yuzhou” on their team now and the official website posted the interview video, everyone that’d watched Ye Bo’s live-stream that noon went viral.

@XXXXX: Lord Prophet: “It’s so awesome to have him on my team!” Yuzhou Mei: “I’m playing LoL because of Lord Prophet. Now, what I want the most, is just to fight against Lord Prophet.”

TL Note: Lord Prophet = Ye Bo. Yuzhou Mei = Zhou Tian.

Lord Prophet, I’m your huge fan.jpg

TL Note: .jpg as in they uploaded a picture I think

@XXXX: The best thing is, literally, when Lord Prophet asked Xie ge if he was jealous, and Xie ge was like: No. (Because, in reality, such a powerful Jungler was already on my team!)

@XXXXX: Wow, so the girly voice that was talking to Daddy Xie during noon was Yuzhou Mei?

@XXXXXXX: But, back to the topic, isn’t the scariest part about how Yuzhou Mei really is a mei? And, she’s actually so soft and cute!

TL Note: In this case, Mei = girl/gal in Chinese. Kinda like… dude, but in a feminine way? Basically they’re surprised that she’s a girl

@XXX: …Stop talking about it, I was a wannabe-girlfriend fan of Yuzhou. Now who am I going to cry to!

Except for these, there were still quite a lot of comments below the interview video questioning Zhou Tian’s gender and how it’d affect her profession. Not only that, their words were also pretty cruel, as if, if Zhou Tian were to join the team, then it’d be an insult to the game.

“Aya, why are you watching this? It’s a waste of time anyway. They’re all stupid idiots that don’t even understand the game.”

In the training room, Yin Yuanxia, who was just passing her seat, happened to see her computer screen. Therefore, was afraid that these comments would affect her emotions, so he spoke in an attempt to comfort her.

“Yeah,” Wang Ren, who was on the other side, said too. “Don’t take it seriously.”

“Nah, I’m not taking it seriously.” Zhou Tian said, “I’m just a bit sad. After revealing my gender, it seems that I’ve lost a lot of wannabe-girlfriend fans.”

Yin Yuanxia: ”…”

Wang Ren: “…”

Jungler sister, that probably isn’t exactly the main point…

Ah, another late release. Good news though, we’re going to release another chapter this week to make up for the missing release last week. It’ll (hopefully) be up by tonight or tomorrow.

Chapter 3

Zhou Tian was still worrying about how she was going to get along with her new team mates, when she heard what Yin Yuanxia said about her.

Zhou Tian: “…”

She fell silent for a few seconds, but then decided to explain herself to clarify the situation: “I’ve never said that I was a male though.”

“And my ID doesn’t mean what everyone thinks it means.”

Yin Yuanxia was bewildered: “What? Doesn’t it mean universe?”

Zhou Tian: “…It actually means fish porridge, you know, the one that you eat.”

TL Note: In Chinese, fish porridge and universe sound very similar.

Obviously, this response was unexpected to everyone. At least, Yin Yuanxia didn’t really think about it, and so he awkwardly smiled: “Oh, so that’s what it means.”

Zhou Tian: “Mhm, it had been my first time playing on a Korean server, and I was in an internet café. The person beside me was eating fish porridge and it smelled really good. So, I just decided to randomly use this ID.”

After Zhou Tian said that, Lin Lin, who brought her in, spoke up: “Well, anyway, starting from this Summer Competition, everyone will be on the same team. Let’s use these few days well and cooperate as much as possible. It’s getting a bit late tonight, and I only brought Zhou here to introduce her to you guys. She’s going to spend the night at the hotel and will move in tomorrow when her room is ready.”

After what Lin Lin said, the rest of the group finally realized that it was a huge event for a girl to move into their base.

The male players from the YYg team didn’t care about appearances, and they usually didn’t pay much attention to what they wore when they were playing late into the night or when they suddenly think of going downstairs to a play some rounds.

“Yes, we should be preparing quite a bit,” Yin Yuanxia said, nodding his head madly.

“Also, when I came back, I talked to the SF League and now, we’re going to have a simulation competition the day after tomorrow.” Lin Lin then gave them another heavy piece of information to digest. “So, after Zhou Tian moves in tomorrow, you will have to immediately start cooperating well, especially Yin Yuanxia. This version of the game requires a great amount of cooperation between the support player and the jungler. You need to train so that your cooperation will be great, as early as possible, so that we can go and participate in the S competition.”

Yin Yuanxia immediately nodded obediently and quickly glanced at Zhou Tian from the corner of his eyes.

Meanwhile, Zhou Tian was surreptitiously observing Xie Yi’s reactions, trying to get some clues of what he was thinking from that icy and emotionless face. Unfortunately, she was given no answer.

“Okay then. Go back to doing whatever you were doing just now,” Lin Lin said. “I’m going to take Zhou Tian over to the hotel.”

When the two people left the base, Lin Lin asked her casually: “Why were you really nervous when you met those boys?”

“…I mainly feel sorry for Further,” Zhou Tian was more used to calling Xie Yi by his account ID, “He asked me earlier about why I didn’t become a professional gamer, and I couldn’t tell him the truth, so I came up with an excuse to cover it up.”

“Oh, just this?” Lin Lin laughed out loud, “Then you really don’t have anything to worry about. All he cares about are the results and the ranking. As long as you two cooperate and play well at the Summer Competition, nothing else is important.”

After he spoke, Lin Lin was worried for a second. What if Zhou Tian asked him what would happen if she couldn’t cooperate well with Xie Yi?

But the young girl who had just become a professional gamer this summer and exposed her age had never thought about it in that way. Instead, she simply nodded her head and said in a clear voice: “Then I can be assured now!”

After Lin Lin heard what she said, he sighed in relief.

He had been working in the professional gaming society for many years now, and he had seen a lot of geniuses. But the real ones that could compete well weren’t as simple as having great talent.

All of those people had strong self-confidence and each of them firmly believed that they would able to play well, which was the so-called resolute mentality.

Now, when he discovered that Zhou Tian also held these characteristics, he was still extremely glad, even if she didn’t officially the professional gaming society yet.

In any case, it was better than getting a coward player.

Meanwhile, in the base behind them, the workers that had been called by Lin Lin were reorganizing the bedrooms of the teammates.

Although nowadays, the eSports industry was very popular, the bases of every team still held onto the tradition of having teammates live together. YYg was not an exception.

YYg’s best team and second-best team both lived on the same floor. In total, there were fifteen people living in seven bedrooms on the same floor. These bedrooms were made for two and three. Most people had roommates, with Xie Yi as an exception.

TL Note: YYg has more than one team, as stated above. I think, (based on my limited knowledge), that those teams are either based off different games or by how well they play? Idk, so – google to the rescue for you!

Xie Yi had a bit of an OCD-complex, so he took the smallest room for two at the end of the hallway. No one minded, because nobody wanted to be the roommate of a person that was way too clean and organized.

Now that Zhou Tian had joined the team, they would, of course, have to give that room to her.

The workers were very nervous, because in order to reorganize every room, they would have to persuade Xie Yi to give up his room up.

“Xie ge,” The staff member responsible for negotiation didn’t have a stable voice as he spoke, “You might have to move into another room.”

“Alright,” Xie Yi nodded his head without any hesitation, “I’ll move tomorrow.”

The staff member was startled by his simple answer. He had to puase for a moment before continuing: “So, is it okay if you move into Yin Yuanxia and Dao ge’s room? Their three people room is the largest.”

Dao ge was YYg’s main force, Wang Ren. He played the Mid position. And because he had “Ren” in his name, everyone called him Dao ge.

TL Note: “Ren” is “blade” in Chinese, while “Dao” is “knife” in Chinese. So, Dao ge isn’t his real name. More of a nickname. His real name is Wang Ren.

The room Dao ge shared with Yin Yuanxia used to be full when Song Chu lived there. But now, after Song Chu left because of the transfer, there was now a spot that was available.

Xie Yi understood this clearly and also knew that out of all his teammates, Yin Yuanxia and Wang Ren were the most hygienic. And so, he nodded his head again: “Alright.”

When Zhou Tian was informed, it had already been noon the next day.

She dragged her tiny baggage which was filled with her belongings into the base, and was greeted by a staff member that claimed that they were there to help her get familiar with the base. The staff member led her onto the third floor and into her new bedroom.

The room was small, but the windows were bright and clean, and it was clearly shown that they had been cautiously cleaned. And so, Zhou Tian thanked the staff member as soon as she entered through the door.

As a result, the staff member waved her hands again and again, replying that, in fact, the staff members didn’t do that much.

“Earlier today, after Xie ge moved out, we came in and found the room like this. We circled around the room and discovered that there was literally nothing for us to clean or prepare.”

Zhou Tian: “…???”

“Wait a second,” She said, highly confused. “This room was originally Further’s?”

TL Note: Reminder!!! Further is Xie Yi’s ID.

“Yeah. He used to live here alone and he had the least amount of belongings out of everyone. Lin ge said that the easiest solution in this situation was to make him move and he agreed.” The staff member explained.

Zhou Tian was silent.

She felt that even if there was a possibility that she might’ve not offended Xie Yi, if his thousands of fans learned this, then she might actually be sacked.

With such an anxious mood plaguing her, after she took out her keyboard and mouse from her luggage bag, she could no longer stay in the room that used to belong to Xie Yi.

She took the keyboard and mouse in her arms and went downstairs, ready to play a few rounds of games to comfort herself.

After a night and half a day’s worth of preparing, there was even a spot in the training room for her, with a pink post-it note on the seat detailing: “Reserved for Zhou Tian.”

Zhou Tian had to admit that she felt that she really didn’t need and receive all the care they gave her – if Xie Yi hadn’t entered the training room two minutes later.

Zhou Tian’s seat wasn’t very far away from Xie Yi’s. And her seat was on the outside, while his was on the inside. In order to access his seat, he would need to pass hers.

The two people’s eyes met for a moment. Zhou Tian thought that no matter how awkward it would be, she still had to greet Xie Yi. So, she was the first to say hi.

Xie Yi: “Mm.”

As always, his tone was plain.

“That room…” She hesitated, but decided to continue, “Thank you.”

Xie Yi: “…”

Although Zhou Tian knew that that this guy, the most handsome guy of the team, had an anti-social personality – when she was the one that was who was starting a conversation with him, she still became anxious, even before he started talking.

Unfortunately for her, when she becomes nervous, she would start to speak a lot. So, when Xie Yi sat down, she began to carefully explain again, “Oh and, uh, I tried to explain about last night-”

“Hold on,” Xie Yi said, interrupting her as he picked up the headset on the table and swiftly fiddled around with it.

“??” Zhou Tian didn’t understand what was going on and so she widened her eyes.

“I just connected my speaker to Ye Bo’s,” Xie Yi finally explained, “He was live-streaming.”

This time, Zhou Tian: “……”

Her cheeks reddened within less than a second. Her hand that held her mouse began to click randomly everywhere. She was way too afraid to speak again.

When the always silent Xie Yi, saw her like this, he continued to speak: “But, now the microphone is muted.”

Although he didn’t explain, Zhou Tian knew that what he meant was that she could now feel assured and speak. But now, Zhou Tian was already dizzy from surprising news from a few moments ago, and even forgot what she was trying to tell him. Instead, she actually responded with “It’s Ye Bo on the other side?”

Xie Yi: “Mhm.”

He responded while quickly glancing at his screen, discovering that there was a message from Ye Bo on the chat section, containing a lot of question marks, asking him who he was talking to.

Xie Yi pondered for a few seconds, then typed down three letters: jxp.

TL Note: jxp stands for “let’s continue” in Chinese.

When Ye Bo, who was still live-streaming, saw Xie Yi’s response, he became speechless. And so, he then began to start complaining along with his fans: “Xie Yi really is arrogant. He told me beforehand that he’d accompany me to play a few rounds to increase our scores, but now, he turned around, turned off his microphone, then talked to the girl beside him. I think that he lacks a sanction and really deserves to be punished!”

He didn’t even finish his sentence before there were comments all over the screen-

【Oh fuck, who is he talking to?! 】

【Oh god, he really turned his microphone off? Is she his girlfriend?! 】

【I think I even heard them mentioning “last night…” My god, please tell me it’s not like what it seems it is!! 】

【????????】

【Stop spewing nonsense. Daddy Xie was on my bed last night!】

【Doesn’t anyone realize that the girl’s voice sounds really familiar? 】

Xie Yi didn’t know about these comments. But even if he knew, he wouldn’t care about them anyway.

He didn’t even bother to respond to Ye Bo’s teasing, and so he continued to game.

But when Zhou Tian, who was in the same training room as Xie Yi, recovered and turned around to look at Xie Yi, all that she saw was him with his headset on and paying all of his attention to the screen.

Zhou Tian: “…”

Oof, so it’s still not going to be explained.

She sighed and then also logged onto the game.

The Korean server’s high-end bureau was much slower than the low-end bureau, especially during noontime. It’d be extremely lucky to get even ten players in a game.

But even like this, when she entered the game and noticed that she was on the same team as Xie Yi and Ye Bo, Zhou Tian still couldn’t resist but twitch the corner of her mouth.

Being a person that became interested in the League of Legends because of how well Ye Bo played and had just recently become a professional player, even if Zhou Tian firmly believed that her skills were now better than Ye Bo, (whom had become aged throughout the years), she still had to pay some amount of respect towards him.

But right at this moment, Xie Yi, who was sitting not so far away, spoke up again: “Ye Bo says that you should take the jungler position.”

Zhou Tian: “Huh?!”

Xie Yi pointed at his headset with the microphone turned off, then expressionlessly retold what Ye Bo said: “He said that since we have such a good ______, we’ll have to use it, so you’re going to play as jungler while he’ll be subsitute.”

TL Note: Okay, I have no idea what this means. It’s probably some LoL thing, so please feel free to search it up: 上分工具人

Zhou Tian: “… Actually, I also was thinking of becoming the substitute.”

She was, in reality, using her modesty as a new professional player, and wasn’t really expecting a response from Xie Yi anyway. But, contrarily, Xie Yi actually spoke with the same expression as before.

“That’s unnecessary,” He said, then proceeded to criticize his friend from the same circle as him ruthlessly, “He’s a really bad player these days.”

Zhou Tian: “?” The friendship between the legendary players of the professional gaming circle must be really unique…?

This week’s updates are probably going to be delayed because most of us are pretty busy in our lives rn. Sorry.

Chapter 2

To be honest, Zhou Tian never thought that she’d actually become a professional gamer one day.

The reason she first started playing League of Legends was because her table mate in middle school played it. Not only did her table mate keep her updated about the game every single day, she also took the entire class to watch a professional team play it during her birthday party.

Coincidentally, on that round, there had been a team with a player called Ye Bo. Ye Bo was the best player in the team and was extremely famous. He even won when he fought one against five players, (basically with only himself on his team). With that, Zhou Tian became intrigued by the game.

And so, Zhou Tian began to embark on her journey of gaming at internet cafes during weekends with her table mate.

At first, it had always been her table mate that team-carried Zhou Tian. After all, excluding the information her table mate told her, Zhou Tian had been very unfamiliar with the game. She didn’t even know how to control and use the heroes.

“What position was he playing? The one that won one to five. He seemed so skillful!” Zhou Tian asked.

“Eh, you mean the captain of tSD? He played as a Jungler. He’s the best Jungler in the world!” Her table mate replied enthusiastically, “Did you know that the competition we watched wasn’t even him playing his best? Let’s first play a few rounds and then I’ll show you him playing his best at a competition.”

And so, Zhou Tian, as a fourteen-year-old girl, hearing that an extremely skillful player was a Jungler, influenced her into immediately deciding that she also wanted to play as a Jungler.

At first, she wasn’t really doing well as a Jungler. The main reason was probably because her table mate, as well as her guider, was way too terrible. Furthermore, her table mate was only good at playing as Support and so she didn’t really know how to play as a Jungler.

After the two girls continued to play terribly for a few weeks, Zhou Tian realized that instead of relying on a table mate that couldn’t even recite paragraphs on a textbook, it would be better for her just to go and read/study some information about League of Legends.

And as Zhou Tian was a fast learner and could also react quickly with her hands, without her terrible teacher, she was now able to quickly improve her skills. She even spent all of her extra-curricular time during the first semester of ninth grade on playing League of Legends.

Now, as she reflects back, she still feels that the happiest part of her life was spent on playing on that game.

However, the time she used to spend on gaming began to rapidly decrease. It wasn’t only because that the second semester of ninth grade was busy, but also because her parents told her that after ninth grade, she would have to start to work at local shops to earn money for her utilities. It was impossible for her family to provide money for the rest of her high school and college education. The only remaining money that her family had was to be saved so that her little brother could use it.

It was rather sad as a girl to live in a family where boys were treasured more than girls. What was even worse was that there were more children in the family than they could even afford to provide for.

Zhou Tian tried to fight back against her family’s views, but that only resulted with her being locked up at home. She wasn’t even allowed to attend her end-of-the-year exams. Even the end-of-the-year certificate had been brought to her by her table mate.

“You know, your grades are actually pretty good. You could apply for a high school subsidy/grant. Then, your family wouldn’t have to spend a lot of money…” Her table mate was confused.

“I guess that the main point isn’t that my family doesn’t have to spend a lot of money,” Zhou Tian sighed, “If I continue to go to school, then I won’t be able to work and earn money. They’re probably thinking around the lines that I’d still have to live in their house and spend their money.”

“Your parents are too… too cruel!” Her table mate was stunned, “Wait, so then, you’ll really need to go to work afterwards? What will you do?”

Zhou Tian told her that she’d probably go to the fisherman’s house, because her parents knew him. Since she was still pretty young, if she went to an unfamiliar place, then people would consider it child labor, which would result in nobody hiring her.

After Zhou Tian spoke, her table mate didn’t have any idea of how to comfort her anymore. The two friends stared at each other for a bit. Then, her table mate scratched her head and said, “Then let’s not talk about this anymore. Apparently, there’s a new internet café by the end of the street. Let’s go and play a few rounds of League of Legends there.”

Wanting to vent off her anger, Zhou Tian agreed.

As the two adolescents entered the new internet café and opened the familiar game page, they realized that it didn’t look the same as the usual game page.

“Oh? Wow, looks like we can now play on the Korean server here.” Although her table mate didn’t really have the best gaming skills, she still had a decent amount of knowledge about the League of Legends. Therefore, she reacted quickly. “I haven’t played on the Korean server before.”

“Is there any difference?” Zhou Tian asked.

“There’s a higher leveled bureau on the Korean server than the normal servers. Anyway, basically all the professional gamers play on the Korean server.”

Zhou Tian was already ranked Challenger on the normal servers. But then, an interesting thought occurred to her. She wondered if she could also get to the Challenger rank on the Korean server. So, she decided to go and try.

It was there, following the end of ninth grade, where she started her gaming career on the Korean server. At first, she had just wanted to vent her anger off the fact that her parents made her give up her education. Yet, this led to her working her way up into the higher ranks. On her path, she had met a wide range of players; godly players, sucky teammates, even professional players. With that, she finally realized that she might have a huge amount of talent for this game.

And the person who really changed her life of failure appeared around this time.

It was on the same day that she’d ranked up to Grandmaster. She was just in a random game and happened to be put into the same server as the Jungler from the tSD team. The world’s number one Jungler, Ye Bo.

At the time, Ye Bo was live-streaming and had been hit with bad luck. Several of his teammates were pretty crummy, which directly made it an advantage for Zhou Tian, who was on the opposing side.

That round, she’d been playing really well as a Jungler. Her timing for ganking was also pretty accurate. In addition, they were also performing very well as a team, because they had been able to fight three versus one. This made Ye Bo, who was live-streaming, scream “SHIT!” According to him, it seemed that the Jungler on the other side wasn’t that bad.

TL Note: Basically, he thought that Zhou Tian was doing pretty well as a Jungler. Also, I think that ganking is some League of Legends battle technique/thing. If you want more information about it, then I’d suggest that you search it up.

But Zhou Tian, who was focusing all her attention on gaming, didn’t know this. She only realized this the next day, when her excited table mate came to visit her after school. Her friend showed her a video titled: “Look at how the number one Jungler is praising the opposing passerby.” It was edited by Ye Bo’s fans.

“I’m telling you, right now, there are so many people trying to guess which professional’s alt you are!” Her friend said, completely enraptured.

TL Note: Alt = alternative account

“Wait, so the Jungler on the opposing side during last night’s round was him?” The startled Zhou Tian said. “And he praised me in front of everyone?”

“That’s right! The one and only Ye Bo!” Her table mate continued to exclaim excitedly, “Oh my god, I used to think that you were as skillful as fuck, but I never thought Ye Bo would also think so. If you weren’t a girl, then I would’ve already suggested for you to take your account ID and private chat Ye Bo, so then he’d recommend you to sTD to train!”

TL Note: I think she means that if Zhou Tian was a boy, then he could’ve private chatted with Ye Bo and perhaps got a chance to train with or join the sTD team.

Zhou Tian: “Eh, wait, so girls can’t play as professional gamers?”

Her table mate replied with, “Yeah. Anyways, there’s never been a preceding female player as an example in the history of League of Legends, and I’ve never heard of any teams that are willing to hire female players.”

When Zhou Tian heard that, she couldn’t help but feel a bit disappointed. She had really wanted to leave her suffocating family and home.

If LpL had been willing to hire female players, then she would’ve gone and tried, so that she could then rightfully leave her family.

Since her table mate understood and knew her situation and thoughts, she thought for a while, then came up with another idea: “I mean, if you can’t play as a professional, then you could always go and try to game while live-streaming!”

“You see, as Ye Bo praised you last night, you can take this opportunity to register for a live-streaming account. There will definitely be some of Ye Bo’s fans that’ll come and see it out of curiosity. Really, I think you’re playing better than some of the current live-streamers. If you do livestream, I’m pretty sure you won’t have to worry about your earnings.”

Zhou Tian was impressed by her speech. She thought that she didn’t have anything to lose even if she tried. And if she did succeed, then she would be able to use the excuse of earning money to quit the temporary job that her parents forced her to do. Perhaps, if she happened to earn even more money, then she would finally be able to leave her family’s home and live alone.

With such expectations in mind, she decided to follow the instructions of her table mate. She then proceeded to register for a Weibo and live-streaming account. She first decided to go and claim her ID from the video edited by Ye Bo fans. Then, she went and sent out her live-streaming address.

“Oh, and by the way, Zhou Tian, whatever you do, do not film your face!” After Zhou Tian followed her table mate’s instructions, her table mate warned her, “If you do, it’ll definitely attract a variety of insignificant men with disgusting thoughts in mind.”

“Okay,” Zhou Tian didn’t want to film her face anyway. “Should I turn on my microphone then? I mean, when I game, I just never can resist the urge to criticize others… Wouldn’t it also be bad to turn on my microphone?”

Her table mate stretched out her hands and started rubbing Zhou Tian’s face fiercely, while saying that criticizing had a livestream effect. After all, as there were still many people that didn’t have a thorough understanding of these kinds of games, watching those types of livestreams could be fun.

“For those people, listening to live streamers criticize is also a way for them to pass the time!” Claimed the table mate, “Just play like usual and fight like you always do. When you have the urge to criticize others, just criticize them. It’s not as if you swear anyways, so I’m pretty sure you won’t get demonetized.”

TL Note: So, criticizing is basically 骂 in Chinese. But, it’s not necessarily cursing or saying swear words. Basically, the point is: You can yell and complain about others, but just don’t scream out swear/curse words.

Zhou Tian pondered for a moment. Then, knowing that her table mate had a good point, she then began her live-streaming career.

And just like what her table mate said, the first few to watch her livestream were all Ye Bo’s fans. However, their attitudes weren’t that kind and not many had given her rewards.

This had made her feel pretty bad. But around this time, Ye Bo, who was probably informed by his fans, came to watch Zhou Tian’s livestreams.

Most of the professional players were wealthy, especially Ye Bo, who was famous for being generous in sending rewards. And so, in just a few minutes, Zhou Tian had already received a bunch of gifts from Ye Bo.

Although Zhou Tian felt flattered, she didn’t respond immediately. She finally realized what happened after a few moments, and said: “Thank you so much for the airplanes and rockets, tSD-Delphi…!”

TL Note: I believe that she’s referring to the airplanes and rockets that you can send in a live stream chat room. They cost money though.

Delphi was Ye Bo’s account’s ID and only he had this ID. On the live-streaming websites, nobody dared to plagiarize other people’s account IDs. Therefore, right after this sentence, the barrage exploded, and the fans of Ye Bo finally realized that their Lord, the “oracle,” really admired the live-streamer with the ID: “Yuzhou.”

TL Note: Ye Bo’s ID, Delphi, is the same Delphi as the Delphi Oracle. Like, the Greek one. The Delphi Oracle was basically a famous oracle that gave out predictions. Therefore, this made his fans call him their Lord, the “oracle.”

Even though Ye Bo never came back to Zhou Tian’s livestreams, she still thought of him as the person who inspired her to start live-streaming and the person who showed her the way out of poverty.

Zhou Tian relied on live-streaming in the game for two full years. She took and treated this job seriously. In the end, not only did she rank up to Challenger on the Korean server and had beaten countless professional players, but also climbed to a place that she never would have thought she could’ve reached before.

However, nobody could deny that the majority of the audience in this game were male. At first, when they heard her voice, they had guessed that she might’ve been a female. However, later, since her rank score rose up and because she was ambiguous when criticizing her team mates, everyone agreed that she was a boy. It was just that “his” voice was more feminine than others.

Later, when they discovered her age, everyone became even more convinced. They even found themselves a reason of why her voice was so sweet and girly. “He” was still young, so it was normal for “him” to not yet go through puberty and deepen “his” voice.

Zhou Tian: “…” Forget it, it’s good to let them just misunderstand.

The first professional team to contact her while she was live-streaming was the YYg team. At the time, it had been a year ago, and they had not created the “Galaxy Battleship” yet.

When she confessed to the YYg’s team manager about her gender and age, the manager had stated that there was no other way to do this. However, her gender didn’t mean that she couldn’t join YYg. It was just that she had to keep it a secret from everyone else before she could be admitted to YYg, otherwise, everything would be screwed up if the other teams received the message too early.

And this was why in the following year, she never told Xie Yi her real gender, even when she repeatedly joined the same server as him.

…But to be fair, Xie Yi had also never questioned her gender either.

He only asked casually whether she ever considered playing as a professional player. In response, she had always coped with it by responding with the reasons of being too young and lacking money.

Although those two reasons were indeed true, she still felt as if her lie had been pointed out when she finally met Xie Yi, who was standing there and staring at her with an expressionless face, in real life.

In fact, her excuses had not only been told to Xie Yi, but also to other professional players. But it wasn’t as if those players were going to be her teammates in the next Summer Competition!

Chapter 1

This year, after the Spring LpL competition ended, the mighty YYg team, that’d only achieved third place, was almost always under the awkward status of angering their own fans.

Technically speaking, getting third place shouldn’t be too bad. But considering what happened before the competition, when YYg had ambitiously created a Galaxy Battleship and convinced all their fans that they were going to be in first place this time, then that third place might actually be that bad. After all, during the competition last summer, YYg had been in second place. If you look at it, then in a way, after creating the Galaxy Battleship, they became worse.

But this was not the main reason why the YYg club had angered their own fans. The real reason why the fans were angry was because of their employee operation before the competition – they had sold Song Chu, the oldest and most prestigious captain in the YYg team.

Song Chu had been the Jungler for the YYg team ever since the YYg team was created. Time flew by fast. It’d already been 5 years since he’d been playing. In terms of age, he was indeed a veteran that should be “renewed.”

TL Note: A Jungler is a role in the League of Legends.

However, the fans were still so outraged that they would’ve liked nothing more than to sit at the entrance of the team base to threaten them. This wasn’t only because in the eyes of most YYg fans, Song Chu was the soul of this team, but also because there were no substitutes on the team that could be a Jungler, and the team did not seem to have any intentions in buying another player.

“Actually, I’m just a bit curious. Lin ge said not to worry, but the transfer window is going to close soon! How are we going to play in the Summer Competition? Are we really going to take that average jungle player in the second team? Oh god, I’m really going to be autistic now.”

TL Note: “Ge” means brother in Chinese, but when they say Lin ge, it’s kind of like a way of saying dude or bro in Chinese. In this case, ge isn’t actually a part of a person’s real name. Lin is the dude’s real name.

At this moment, in the YYg base, the Support player, Yin Yuanxia, while sitting down in front of his computer, was starting to spit out worries about his team like a machine gun.

When the Spring Competition just concluded, the atmosphere in the team had been extremely bad. Although he tried to comfort everyone at first, after Song Chu got sold, everyone was extremely confused. He was the first one who couldn’t hold it back anymore and went to find their leader, Lin Lin. After comforting everybody, Lin Lin told him not to worry. He said that the management ranks must’ve had other plans in mind, otherwise, they wouldn’t have done this.

But as the day when the closing of the transfer window close got closer and closer, even the positive Yin Yuanxia started to worry.

TL Note: I think the transfer window is a period of time where League of Legends teams begin to make changes to their teams by “selling” and “buying” players.

“Lin Lin left the base two days ago,” Yin Yuanxia still didn’t turn his computer on. “I thought he was going to other teams to see if he could buy a Jungler from them. But after I dug around a little last night, a few teams that were thinking about selling their Jungler all told me that Lin Lin didn’t come. So where in the world did Lin Lin go?”

Yet nobody answered him.

Or to be more accurate, there was nobody there but another team member, who was paying all of his attention to a game that he was playing.

Fortunately, Yin Yuanxia had been long accustomed to the silence of his own ADc. After holding his phone and rambling on for a few more moments, he also turned his computer on and logged onto the game.

TL Note: ADc = Attack Damage carry (I think it’s a person with low health but deals a lot of damage in League of Legends)

Although Yin Yuanxia was a Support player, when he played regular games with the ranking mode on, he rarely played as a Support. According to his words, if you play more and different positions on a team on a regular basis, then it would be helpful for better cooperation in a real competition.

These days, he always thought about how there would be no Jungler player in the Summer Competition. And so, his frequency of playing as a Jungler had skyrocketed.

“Oh! Looks like we’re going to be playing against each other, Xie ge,” Yin Yuanxia saw the familiar ID in the opposite team and instantly turned around to look at the teammate sitting beside him.

Yes, this round he got in the same server with his ADc teammate, Xie Yi. But in the Korean server high-end bureau, these kinds of situations were not rare. After all, there weren’t too many people who were at this rank in the game. And those who logged on this early in the day were even less.

Yin Yuanxia clicked his tongue dramatically, deciding to still play as a Jungler.

Around this time, Xie Yi suddenly spoke up: “I’ve got Yuzhou in my team.”

“Oh, Yuzhou. Nice.” Yin Yuanxia replied, but then suddenly realized what Xie Yi said. “Wait what? You mean the Yuzhou, the fifth-best in the Korean server?!”

“Mhm.” Xie Yi nodded. It was rare for him to respond to others with more than one sentence. “Are you still going to play as a Jungler, now?”

Yin Yuanxia: “…”

It was as if he instantly changed his mind. He decided to play as Support this round and was going to use his best Kindred.

It was no wonder why he was suddenly so persuaded. The name of Yuzhou was extremely famous throughout the entire server. It was said that Yuzhou had the highest winning rate in the ranking, making many professional players bite their tongue and freeze whenever they heard the name.

As someone who could play any position in a regular game with ranking mode on, Yin Yuanxia went to Yuzhou’s live-stream room to observe and learn. He had only one thought after watching and reflecting — this person is really talented. Instead of live-streaming to get a bit of money, Yuzhou could actually play as a professional.

So right now, after knowing that Yuzhou was on the other team and was about to play against him, Yin Yuanxia certainly couldn’t play the jungle position and humiliate himself. To be defeated so overwhelmingly as a professional player, even in his opinion, would be very shameful.

“Oh god, I really have to ban this Kindred.” Yin Yuanxia said, controlling his character as he rambled on and on. “Wow, Xie ge, you really are lucky today. Not only did you get Yuzhou on your team this round, but you also got ranked to Mid SF!”

TL Note: kindred = hero character

Xie Yi…… Xie Yi stopped replying to him again.

This round, Ying Yuanxia ’s luck was horrible. In order to avoid being defeated too overwhelmingly, he had decided to play as a Support. As a result, his teammate, a Jungler, played even more terribly than he did. He walked in the wild area throughout the game. Not only could he not help his teammates, but in the end, he failed to develop and was always killed.

Because of the fact that he had to carry such a teammate while they were being played four members to five members, the end result was obvious. So, after the round, Ying Yuanxia couldn’t help but curse under his breath.

“But Yuzhou is actually really good! Why would a Jungler with this kind of skill not play as a professional gamer? I really can’t figure this one out.” After Ying Yuanxia finished complaining about his bad luck, he started admiring how well Yuzhou could play.

“Too little.” Unexpectedly, Xie Yi actually responded to him.

“What?! But playing as a professional would earn you much more money than live-streaming, right?”

“Too young,” Xie Yi told him.

If it weren’t because Yin Yuanxia had been working with Xie Yi for such a long time, then he wouldn’t have been able to figure out what Xie Yi meant.

What he meant, was that Yuzhou wasn’t old enough to play in a LpL competition. But if he went to the teams with lower levels, he probably wouldn’t earn as much as he could earn in live-streaming.

TL Note: I think that what this meant was that lower-level teams probably allowed younger players, it’s just that the players in those didn’t make as much as live-streamers.

“Oh. So that’s why.” Yin Yuanxia understood but instantly had a new question. “How do you know, Xie ge?”

“Asked him,” Xie Yi’s answers were still, unsurprisingly, concise.

Yin Yuanxia: “…” Of course, I know that! What I wanted to ask is how you even have a personal connection with him!

If it was any other professional player that had a personal connection with this number one player and knew so much, Yin Yuanxia wouldn’t be that surprised. But Xie Yi was famous for being extremely anti-social and uncaring.

“Uh, Xie ge, are you familiar with Yuzhou?” Yin Yuanxia couldn’t help but ask.

“We played two-players ranking together a few times, ” Xie Yi paused for a moment.

Yin Yuanxia: “…” This was indeed Xie ge.

Just as he wondered whether he could gossip a bit more, he saw Xie Yi raise his eyebrow, as if looking at something surprising. Yin Yuanxia automatically looked at what could interest Xie Yi.

“What is it, Xie ge?”

“Yuzhou.” Xie Yi’s tone was smooth, as always, yet now it shifted a little, “said that he’s coming here.”

“What? ” Yin Yuanxia was startled and ignored the fact that his team’s ADc didn’t like close distance with people and immediately looked over at his ADc’s computer screen. There, at the chat section of the game page, was a message from Yuzhou.

 【i am going 2 join ur team】

Yin Yuanxia: “What the fuck! He’s joking, right?”

Yin Yuanxia didn’t even wait for a reaction from Xie Yi. He immediately contradicted himself again: “Well, if Lin knows that it’s you, he wouldn’t trash talk about things then. Oh my god. So the secret that Lin ge held back for several months was this??”

Xie Yi didn’t respond. He typed out a message and sent it to Yuzhou.

【Are you sure?】

Yuzhou, on the other side, replied:【Ofc】

“Oh my god! Oh my god!” Yin Yuanxia couldn’t contain his excitement anymore. “We’re going to have the number one Kindred on the Korean server?! When is he going to come? I’m going to tell everyone else about this. Let’s have a huge celebration party or something!”

Xie Yi: “…”

In reality, he was delighted, so he asked again and again and got a reply that he was going on today’s afternoon flight and that was probably going to reach Shanghai tonight.

“…I’m going to wake Han and the others up right now!” Yin Yuanxia stood up in an instant and then dashed upstairs like a maniac.

Xie Yi, who stayed in his chair, looked at the chat on the screen and sighed in relief. Although he didn’t participate in the discussions over the empty position of Jungler at all that occurred after Song Chu was sold, he indeed had been worrying about it too. Therefore, he can now finally relax after knowing that they had finally found a new Jungler.

The following afternoon, the entire YYg team almost couldn’t discuss anything else but the new Jungler.

“But to be honest, I still can’t believe that Yuzhou Mei is going to be a part of our team. I’ve watched his live stream pretty often, and he’s really good. Not only does he play with Kindreds well, but he also often used Huanzi, Zhao Xin, and Mang Sen like no one has ever used before. “

TL Note: I think that they call Yuzhou, “Yuzhou Mei” because it’s his nickname. Mei actually means dude, but like in a feminine way. In this case, although they think Yuzhou is a boy, they still call him in “mei” anyway. I also think that Huanzi, Zhao Xin, and Mang Sen are like types of Kindred in League of Legends.

“It’s just that he has a really girly voice. The last time I watched his live stream and heard him complaining about an idiot teammate, oh god, it sounded as if he were being coquettish.”

“Of course! Or else, why would we call him Yuzhou Mei? Not gonna lie to you, but when I first watched his live stream and heard his voice, I thought he was a female.”

“Coming back to the topic, Yuzhou doesn’t film his face. We don’t even know what he looks like.”

“What he looks like doesn’t matter. If his gaming skills are good then that’s enough since we already have Xie ge as our handsome guy of the team.”

“My god, Han, you really are getting daring these days. You even dare to talk about Xie ge like that.”

“But today we’ve gotten really good news. Xie ge won’t get mad at me. Right, Xie ge?”

Nearby, the seriously gaming Xie Yi: “…” My teammates are all stupid idiots.

Anyway, after the team waited for a long time, it was finally evening. However, they were told that the airplane carrying Lin Lin and Yuzhou was delayed. Even with this new piece of news, the team still didn’t give up – being a professional gamer meant that sometimes you’d sleep late. It didn’t matter to them anyway.

At about 11:30, there were noises coming from downstairs of the base. Lin Lin, the team’s leader, who’d been gone for a few days, had finally returned along with the new player.

And so, the group of people immediately ran out from their training room to welcome them. Yin Yuanxia even brought some of their snacks along so as to welcome Yuzhou and allow their relationships to progress faster.

However, nobody expected that ten seconds later, the person that entered the base along with Lin Lin was actually a slender and young girl!

The girl was wearing casual clothing. A pure black T-Shirt and a pair of dark green pants. She was also wearing a pair of athletic shoes with a cap on her head. She looked very young. If someone looked at her from a distance, then she could’ve even been mistaken for as a middle schooler.

When the YYg team members saw this, they almost turned to stones. Even the usually unspeaking Xie Yi froze.

But Lin Lin didn’t give them any time to slowly digest the information and immediately introduced her. “This is our new Jungler, Zhou Tian. Her ID is Yuzhou. You should’ve heard of her.”

Silence.

Zhou Tian didn’t feel awkward and said: “Hello everyone, I’m Zhou Tian. We will be teammates from now on.”

The girly voice was exactly the one that came from the live stream room. And so, the team of YYg players finally came back to reality.

The first to speak was, of course, Yin Yuanxia. And as always, unobstructed by anything, he said: “Eh so, we didn’t really expect that the Yuzhou Mei was really a mei…”

TL Note: They mean that they didn’t expect her to really be a girl. They thought she was a boy.
